Breaking: Justin Fields Makes his True Feelings on Chicago Bears Clear After Pittsburgh Steelers Switch…

Justin Fields has expressed his genuine sentiments towards the Chicago Bears and their supporters following his departure from the team after a three-year tenure.

Traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a sixth-round draft pick, Fields will now serve as Russell Wilson’s backup. The Bears are redirecting their focus towards recruiting college standout Caleb Williams with their anticipated first selection in the upcoming April draft.

Originally drafted as a first-round pick in 2021, Fields was seen as the future of the Bears’ quarterback position and exhibited flashes of brilliance during his time with the team. However, following the acquisition of the first pick, the Bears appear to have made the decision to allow Fields to join the Steelers.

In his initial statement post-trade, Fields conveyed his gratitude towards the city of Chicago, the Bears organization, and its fans. He expressed appreciation for the camaraderie among his teammates, acknowledging their role in his daily motivation and resilience throughout the ups and downs of his tenure. Fields conveyed his best wishes for success to his former teammates as he embarks on the next phase of his career.

Transitioning to the Steelers, Fields faces a challenging situation as Wilson has already been designated as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season. Nonetheless, Fields aims to showcase his skills during the preseason, potentially attracting interest from other teams if Wilson solidifies his starting position for the 2024 season.

Reports from the NFL Network indicate that despite acquiring Fields, the Steelers have affirmed Wilson’s status as the starter. While Fields was considered a prospect for several NFL teams seeking a starting quarterback, teams like the Minnesota Vikings and New England Patriots reportedly showed no interest in trading for him. The Philadelphia Eagles were the only team to make an offer before ultimately selecting Kenny Pickett from the Steelers.
