Following back-to-back wins, including a convincing victory over the Denver Nuggets, Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Love the direction we are heading.”
Under Doc Rivers’ leadership, the Bucks have shown notable progress, currently securing four wins in their last 10 games. Their eye is set on further enhancing their record post the NBA All-Star break, with aspirations to attain the second seed in the Eastern Conference, provided the Cleveland Cavaliers slow down.
The key to this could lie in Damian Lillard and Antetokounmpo hitting a hot streak, building on their recent impressive win against the defending champions, the Nuggets.
The dominating performance against the Nuggets featured a remarkable late-game run, securing the Bucks’ victory by outscoring their opponents 91-63 in the first three quarters. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s prowess in the paint, with 36 points from 14 field goals and eight free throws, played a pivotal role.
His offensive rebounds and 14 total boards showcased his control of the game. This dominance allowed Doc Rivers to implement strategic plays resulting in a 47.1% success rate in three-point attempts.
As the Bucks head into the All-Star break on a positive note, they look forward to facing the Minnesota Timberwolves after ample rest. With their current trajectory, the Larry O’Brien trophy seems within reach for the Bucks.
