New England Patriots Seeks Broncos Assistant Coach for Defensive Coordinator Role…

Denver Broncos assistant coach Christian Parker, 32, known for his swift ascent in the coaching realm, is currently in the interview process for the defensive coordinator position with the New England Patriots under the leadership of new head coach Jerod Mayo.

A reliable source confirmed this development to The Denver Post on Friday morning, with the NFL Network initially reporting on the interview.

Having served as the Broncos’ defensive backs coach for the past three years, Parker has demonstrated his coaching prowess under the guidance of various defensive minds, including Vic Fangio in 2021, Ejiro Evero in 2022, and Vance Joseph in the most recent season. His impressive performance has made him a valuable asset to the team, prompting efforts to retain him on staff.

Prior to his tenure in Denver, Parker contributed as a defensive quality control coach in Green Bay for two years and gained college coaching experience at institutions such as Texas A&M and Notre Dame before transitioning to the NFL.

Vance Joseph, the Broncos’ head coach in the previous season, quickly formed a positive impression of Parker during the offseason program last summer, describing him as sharp, a star, and a great collaborative partner. Joseph commended Parker’s intelligence, strong work ethic, and the positive relationship he fosters with his players.

In addition to Parker, other young Broncos assistant coaches, including defensive line coach Marcus Dixon and quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, may also attract interest for coordinator positions in the upcoming weeks. The team seems to have a pool of promising coaching talent ready to make their mark in higher-ranking roles.
