Houston Texans QB C.J. Stroud Sends a Major Message Indianapolis Fans…

Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud expressed high praise for the fans in Indianapolis, acknowledging their impact during the team’s recent game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Following the Texans’ 23-19 victory over the Colts, Stroud credited the enthusiastic crowd, labeling the stadium as the loudest he has experienced in his inaugural NFL season.

This win secured the Texans’ first playoff berth since 2019, as well as the AFC South title, thanks to the Tennessee Titans’ subsequent victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Monday, Stroud specifically acknowledged the impressive atmosphere created by Colts fans, noting that the noise level resembled that of a college setting.

Having previously played in renowned college venues such as “The Horseshoe” at Ohio State, as well as stadiums like Michigan Stadium, Beaver Stadium (Penn State), and Memorial Stadium (Nebraska), Stroud seemed well-prepared for the energetic environment at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Despite the deafening noise from the Indianapolis crowd, Stroud remained composed during the game, particularly showcasing his skills on the pivotal game-winning drive.

In that crucial moment, he led a 12-play, 73-yard touchdown drive, breaking a tie and propelling the Texans to a 23-17 lead with 6:20 remaining. Stroud’s performance on that drive was exceptional, completing all seven of his passes for 82 yards.

Although the Texans secured the victory, Stroud graciously acknowledged the Colts fans for creating a remarkable atmosphere in the stadium.

The rookie quarterback has had a remarkable first year in the NFL, accumulating impressive statistics with 4,108 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

Leading the Texans to a 10-7 record and a division title, Stroud is now gearing up for his first NFL playoff appearance. The Texans are set to host the Cleveland Browns next Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing on NBC.
