Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah joins Browns top 10 list in important stat before end of 3rd season

Week 16 in the 2023 NFL season for the Cleveland Browns will be remembered as the Amari Cooper game, yet other significant aspects shouldn’t be overlooked.

The Browns advanced to a 10-5 record, nearing a secured playoff spot for the season. Quarterback Joe Flacco skillfully connected with Cooper, contributing to the success. The Cleveland defense performed well on the road, with noteworthy contributions until the third stringers entered the game. Browns fans enjoyed a mostly stress-free victory on Christmas Eve.

Throughout the year, Cleveland’s defense has been a focal point of discussion, with DE Myles Garrett and LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah making a substantial impact.

JOK has had a standout season, benefiting from an improved defensive line, particularly the defensive tackle group. His career-best statistics include 90 tackles, 6 pass breakups, 3.5 sacks, 5 QB hits, and increased interceptions. Notably, his tackles for loss have surged from 7 to 18, nearing the team’s best season record. Despite TFLs only being recorded since 1994, JOK ranks 10th in Cleveland’s history, with Myles Garrett leading at 93. While catching Garrett seems unlikely, JOK’s impressive standing after just three seasons hints at a promising future, poised to join the top three alongside Orpheus Roye and Jamir Miller next season.
