Danny Rohl expressed his deep concern during Sheffield Wednesday’s recent match against Blackburn Rovers. Speaking with The Star post-game, the German coach disclosed feeling extremely worried when Dominic Iorfa sustained an injury early in the game.
Iorfa, who has been a consistent presence for Wednesday since Rohl’s arrival, had played every minute of every Championship match but had to be substituted off minutes into the Blackburn clash due to an injury, making way for Liam Palmer.
Despite Iorfa’s departure, Sheffield Wednesday managed to secure a 3-1 victory, marking their second consecutive unbeaten game since the League One play-off final. Rohl confessed that the injury had greatly concerned him, especially considering the cold weather conditions. He mentioned that the quick injury raised immediate concerns about the team’s mental resilience, knowing it’s challenging for a team to recover swiftly after an early setback.
