Manchester United Aim to Bounce Back with Squad Changes Ahead of Tottenham Clash

Manchester United, after failing to win their last two matches, will aim to get back on track with a victory against Tottenham, who are currently level on points with them in the Premier League standings.

Manager Erik ten Hag is expected to make four changes to the team that started in last week’s Europa League draw against Twente.

Ten Hag has confirmed that Leny Yoro is making significant progress in his recovery from injury and is likely to return to training soon.

One player already back from injury is Danish international Rasmus Hojlund, who featured during the week. He may be selected to start ahead of Joshua Zirkzee, who has not scored since his match-winning goal against Fulham.

In attacking midfield, Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes are expected to keep their starting roles, while Alejandro Garnacho could return to the lineup in place of Amad Diallo.

In central midfield, Christian Eriksen has been in excellent form recently, but United may need more defensive stability to counter Tottenham’s potent attack. Therefore, Manuel Ugarte is expected to remain as the primary defensive midfielder, with Kobbie Mainoo potentially coming in to replace Eriksen and partner the Uruguayan.

At the back, Dutch international Matthijs de Ligt is likely to replace Harry Maguire in central defense, pairing up with Lisandro Martinez in front of goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Fullbacks Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are likely to retain their spots in the starting XI.

Possible Man Utd lineup vs Tottenham: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot; Ugarte, Mainoo; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
