Raiders’ Butler Anchors Defense, Tre Tucker Primed for Breakout in Week 3

Raiders defensive tackle Butler has been a workhorse this season, playing 106 out of the team’s 122 snaps so far. Entering his sixth year, his heavy workload has been partly due to the absence of Malcolm Koonce and Tyree Wilson. In Week 3, Butler will be crucial in helping the Raiders contain the Panthers’ dangerous backfield duo of Chuba Hubbard and Miles Sanders.

On Sunday, Brock Bowers and Davante Adams shined as a dynamic duo, racking up a combined 18 catches, over 200 yards, and a touchdown. However, the rest of the Las Vegas squad only contributed 12 catches collectively. Jakobi Meyers led the remaining group with four receptions, followed by Zamir White with three, and both Tre Tucker and Ameer Abdullah adding two apiece.

This past offseason, Tucker was seen as a potential breakout star for the Raiders, but he has yet to make a significant impact in the regular season. Known for his big-play ability, Tucker could be the key to stretching the field and challenging the Panthers’ defense in Week 3. Expect the Raiders to take a deep shot to get him going in this upcoming matchup.
