Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins have officially come to terms on a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $8.7 million.
The Penguins announced the signing on their website, accompanied by remarks from General Manager Kyle Dubas, who praised Crosby’s immense impact on the team and the city of Pittsburgh. The Penguins were keen to finalize this agreement.
“There are no words to properly describe what Sidney Crosby means to the game of hockey, the city of Pittsburgh, and the Penguins organization,” Dubas stated. “Sidney is the greatest player of his generation and one of the all-time greats in the history of the game.
