Miami, FL – In a deal that’s turning heads, rapper Pitbull has secured the naming rights to Florida International University’s football stadium for a cool $5 million over five years. The stadium will officially be renamed Pitbull Stadium starting this fall.
The partnership, announced on August 6th, includes not just financial support but also a commitment from Pitbull to promote the university. He’ll be creating a new FIU anthem, making appearances at fundraising events, and sharing university-related content on his social media.
“This is groundbreaking,” Pitbull said in a statement. “We’re making history.”
The deal is a win-win for both parties. FIU receives a significant financial boost and increased visibility, while Pitbull reinforces his connection to his hometown and gains exclusive access to the stadium for 10 days a year.
The Panthers’ first game under the new name will be against Central Michigan University on September 7th.
