Ireland stars enjoy night out with wives at Adare Manor after Rugby World Cup…

Irish rugby stars, having recently suffered a close defeat to New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup and returning from France, opted for a well-deserved break with their spouses. They headed to the lavish Adare Manor in Limerick for a night away from the sport’s intensity.

Among those partaking in this retreat were renowned Munster players such as Tadhg Beirne, Conor Murray, Peter O’Mahony, and the recently retired Keith Earls, who were joined by their captain, Johnny Sexton.

This evening of relaxation featured good food, wine, and plenty of smiles as the players and their wives made the most of their time together. Jessica O’Mahony and Joanna Cooper, originally from Co Derry, shared photos from the night, revealing their well-dressed and cheerful group.

The players’ return to the rugby scene following their World Cup participation remains uncertain. It’s expected that they won’t be back for at least another month, given that they commenced their training as early as July.

After the World Cup, both Johnny Sexton and Keith Earls announced their retirements, while Peter O’Mahony is contemplating his future in international rugby.

The seasoned Munster flanker, who may have just completed his final game in an Irish jersey, expressed his deep disappointment after their narrow 28-24 loss to New Zealand in the quarter-finals. Despite the defeat, he conveyed his pride in the team, coaches, staff, and the support they received.

He emphasized the four-year journey of hard work and investment that had led to the World Cup and expressed hope that their efforts had inspired young players to embrace the game at the club and school level.

Peter O’Mahony also extended his gratitude to the fans and his retiring friends, Johnny Sexton and Keith Earls, acknowledging their contributions to Irish rugby and their lasting friendship
