Matt Eberflus, currently in his second year as the head coach of the Chicago Bears, is facing a precarious situation.
Typically, NFL coaches are granted a three-year window to turn their teams around, but Eberflus has fallen short of meeting this expectation.
His first season saw a disappointing 3-14 record, and in 2023, the Bears have continued to struggle, sitting at 1-5 and once again in contention for the first overall draft pick.
Unless there is a significant improvement in the near future, Eberflus is on track to have the lowest winning percentage of any Bears coach in history.
Consequently, many experts anticipate his departure in the upcoming off-season, triggering the search for a new coach. This is where Jim Harbaugh enters the picture as a potential replacement.
