REPORT: Why Former Bucks Player and 10 Others Refused Voting Giannis Antetokounmpo Into All-NBA First Team…

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was announced as part of the All-NBA First Team on Wednesday night, but the decision wasn’t unanimous.

Several media figures, including Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins, did not vote for him to be on the First Team.

In total, 11 voters excluded Antetokounmpo from their First Team selections, with the full voting results made public by the NBA on Thursday.

This transparency allows fans to see who voted for whom, and in Giannis’ case, it reveals the specific media members who didn’t think he deserved a First Team spot (thanks to Nathan Marzion of Behind the Bucks Pass for the info).

Notably, six of these 11 voters work for ESPN, suggesting that Antetokounmpo may not be highly regarded among certain ESPN analysts.

Richard Jefferson, a former Bucks player, is also among those who didn’t consider Giannis one of the top five players in the league today.
