In a major offseason win for Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers, the program has officially landed Austin Parks, a highly regarded transfer big man who is expected to make an immediate impact on The Plains.
Parks, a former top recruit and standout at Ohio State, brings size, strength, and a developing all-around game to Auburn’s frontcourt. The 6-foot-10, 270-pound center entered the transfer portal earlier this offseason in search of a fresh start — and now he’s set to suit up in orange and blue.
The move adds significant depth and power to Auburn’s interior game, especially with the Tigers reloading for another run at the top of the SEC standings.
“We’re excited to welcome Austin to the Auburn family,” head coach Bruce Pearl said in a statement. “He’s a hard-working, physical presence in the paint who will bring toughness, rebounding, and a great attitude to our team. His potential is sky-high.”
Parks saw limited minutes as a freshman at Ohio State but was praised for his work ethic and long-term potential. A former 4-star recruit out of St. Marys, Ohio, he was considered one of the top high school big men in the Midwest, known for his strong footwork, soft touch around the rim, and imposing size.
Now, at Auburn, he’ll have the opportunity to thrive in a system that emphasizes physicality, defensive intensity, and an up-tempo style.
The Tigers have been aggressive in the transfer portal this offseason, and the addition of Parks continues a trend of bringing in players who can contribute immediately while developing into long-term stars.
With Parks in the fold, Auburn’s frontcourt rotation is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing in the SEC — and Bruce Pearl isn’t done yet.
