Just In: Lions’ Loses One Top Linebacker, A Quiet Moment……

The Detroit Lions are having an impressive season, sitting at 12-1 ahead of their upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills and already securing a playoff spot. Despite the positive momentum, the team has been dealing with injuries, though there’s good news regarding recovery, especially with linebacker Alex Anzalone. Anzalone, who suffered a broken arm in Week 11, may be able to return in time for the playoffs, according to head coach Dan Campbell.

In a recent update on his recovery, Anzalone shared details of his healing process during an appearance on the “Ross Tucker Football Podcast” on December 4. He praised the Lions’ approach to player safety and explained the methods he’s using to accelerate his recovery, including hyperbaric treatments and other techniques in the training room. Anzalone is optimistic about his progress and is awaiting an upcoming x-ray to assess his healing, though he’s not yet able to participate in practices. He remains around the facility, continuing rehab and staying connected with the team.

Anzalone has also been active in supporting his teammates, particularly rookie linebacker Jack Campbell. He offers advice and encouragement to Campbell, who has been hard on himself, as well as helping veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander. Even though Anzalone can’t play, he’s doing his part to stay involved, especially given the Lions’ defensive struggles with injuries. His leadership and dedication to the team during his recovery have been crucial, with some praising his positive impact on the defense’s continued success in his absence.
