Breaking News Steelers’ Defensive Line Gains Surprising Key Injury Advantage Before Cowboys Showdown

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have faced their first defeat of the season in Week 4 against the Indianapolis Colts, but they have nonetheless enjoyed a strong start to the 2024 campaign. As they prepare for a significant Sunday Night Football matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, the Steelers’ talented defense is set to receive a key boost.

Pittsburgh’s defense has been instrumental in their 3-1 record so far, but earlier in the week, there was concern about defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi, who appeared on the injury report with a groin issue. However, on Saturday, Ogunjobi was removed from the injury report, signaling that he will be ready to take the field against the Cowboys.

“Steelers DE Larry Ogunjobi (groin) has been upgraded from questionable to having no injury designation. He’s good to go against the Cowboys,” the report confirmed.

Ogunjobi, an underrated interior lineman in the NFL, has made a strong impact this season, accumulating 14 tackles—one for a loss—three quarterback hits, and half a sack. His absence against Dallas would have been a significant setback, even though the Cowboys’ ground game has struggled early in the season.

With Ogunjobi back in the lineup, he is expected to disrupt running lanes and pressure Dak Prescott from the interior defensive line. This matchup is anticipated to be closely contested, but if Ogunjobi and the rest of the Steelers’ defense can deliver another solid performance, they stand a good chance of securing their fourth victory of the year.
