Eddie Lacy Charged and Banned from Football Career Activities

Lacy had an impressive third season at Alabama, rushing for 1,322 yards and scoring 17 touchdowns. Notably, he contributed 140 yards and one touchdown during the Crimson Tide’s 42-14 victory over Notre Dame in the BCS national championship game on January 7, 2013. Previously, Alabama secured the BCS title for the 2011 season while Lacy was a backup to Trent Richardson in the backfield.

Chosen in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Lacy made an immediate impact as a rookie with the Green Bay Packers, earning a Pro Bowl selection. He rushed for 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns on 284 carries, while also catching 35 passes for 257 yards.

In his second season, Lacy continued to perform well, rushing for 1,139 yards and nine touchdowns on 246 carries, in addition to catching 42 passes for 427 yards and four touchdowns in 2014.

However, Lacy’s performance declined over the next three seasons, with rushing totals of 758, 360, and 179 yards. His final NFL game took place on December 3, 2017, while playing for the Seattle Seahawks.
