Orioles Add Reliever Colin Selby to Roster, Exclude Matt Bowman and Albert Suarez

The Baltimore Orioles have included seldom-used right-handed reliever Colin Selby on their roster, having opted for him over fellow righty Matt Bowman. Selby has pitched in three games for the Orioles this season, as well as two for the Royals, while starting pitcher Albert Suarez is absent from the roster.

“He’s shown exceptional ability in the limited outings he’s had for us,” said Orioles manager Brandon Hyde. “From a matchup perspective, we wanted to add another right-hander to our bullpen. He has a fastball that reaches 97 miles per hour and a very effective slider.”
