King Reflects on Bold Move to Hurricanes Poua in 2024, Future Plans Uncertain for 2025

In 2024, she made the bold decision to move to Wellington and join the Hurricanes Poua in Super Rugby Aupiki. Although the team finished last, King played in every match, showing remarkable determination throughout the season.

“When I got the call from the Hurricanes, I discussed it with Kenj and my family,” she said.

“I decided to take the opportunity, absorb as much as I could, and just enjoy the experience. I’m so glad I made the move. I wasn’t expecting much game time, but they gave me plenty of opportunities. The team was incredibly supportive, and I’m so grateful to them.”

As for 2025, King has yet to decide where she will be playing.
