Jung Reflects on Season Cut Short by Injury and Looks Ahead to 2025

During the Rangers’ trip to Cleveland on August 23, the pain resurfaced. While it wasn’t as intense as it had been during his initial comeback attempt in June, the concern remained.

“It hadn’t reached that same level yet, but the fear was that it could get there again. The main priority is figuring out why this is happening,” he explained. “We believe it might be related to the [Acu-Loc 2 Wrist Plating System], but we’re not entirely sure. Hopefully, the upcoming CAT scan will provide some answers.”

Jung concludes the season with a .264 batting average, seven home runs, five doubles, and 16 RBIs in 46 games.

“On a personal level, it’s been tough dealing with yet another injury,” Jung shared. “I missed 103 games the first time around, plus all the off days, and now these last nine or ten. It’s unfortunate. As a team, we had high expectations, but we didn’t meet them. It’s frustrating, but that frustration will drive us to work harder this offseason. Hopefully, we’ll come back ready in 2025.”
