Josh Allen Shines as Bills Dominate, Setting Records and Eyeing MVP Honors

Josh Allen set a new team record with his 11th game of four touchdown passes, surpassing Hall of Famer Jim Kelly in the process. The phrase “Everybody eats” perfectly captures the team’s performance, as ten different players caught a pass from Allen in Monday’s dominant victory. Along with his impressive passing, Allen and James Cook combined for 83 rushing yards, leading Buffalo to a flawless execution on offense.

Allen’s total touchdowns (passing, rushing, and receiving) now stand at 230, just one shy of Patrick Mahomes for the most by any player in their first seven NFL seasons. The offense rightfully stole the spotlight, but the defense also made its mark. Von Miller recorded a sack, tying him for 17th all-time with Derrick Thomas at 126.5 sacks. The Jaguars, meanwhile, could only manage 70 yards, five first downs, and three points in the first half. Defensive coordinator Bobby Babich’s strategy is clearly paying off for Buffalo.

On the other side, the Jaguars are struggling. Trevor Lawrence hasn’t lived up to his $275 million contract, and the team’s inefficiency only adds to their troubles. To top off a rough night, they faced issues with their flight out of Buffalo. Jacksonville will be looking to regroup in Week 4, while the Bills prepare for a Sunday night matchup with Baltimore.

The Bills are playing like a well-oiled machine, capitalizing on opportunities and avoiding turnovers. They’ve scored 30 or more points in three consecutive games to start the season. The upcoming game in Baltimore will be a real test of where this team stands. Derrick Henry ran over Dallas in Week 3, and Lamar Jackson, a two-time MVP, poses another major threat.

While Baltimore had a rocky start to the season, they’re a team capable of bouncing back quickly. The Bills have a lot to focus on in Week 4, but plenty to celebrate from Week 3. After Monday’s performance, Josh Allen is now the frontrunner for MVP, and he’s earned that recognition.
