William Nylander Subtly Criticizes Former Coach Amid Position Change

Toronto Maple Leafs star forward William Nylander appeared to take a subtle dig at his former coach, Sheldon Keefe.

As the Maple Leafs kicked off their training camp on September 18, players began speaking to the media again. On September 19, it was announced that Nylander would be starting the season at center once more, with new coach Craig Berube suggesting it might be a long-term shift.

Last season, Nylander briefly played as a center but was moved away from the position after just two games. When asked what had changed between then and now, Nylander’s response seemed to contain a veiled criticism of his previous coach.
