Soto Reflects on Scary Injury Moment Amid Strong Debut Season with Yankees
“I was really worried,” Soto said. “I hit the concrete hard, and when I threw the ball, I immediately felt sharp pain in my kneecap. Over time, the pain started to subside, and I felt better, but it was definitely a scary moment.” In Thursday’s game, Soto went 0-for-3 with a walk. He is currently hitting .286 with 40 home runs, 103 RBIs, and 120 runs scored over 149 games in his debut season with the Yankees. The 25-year-old is set to become a free agent after the season.
