Official Update: Milwaukee Bucks’ Head Coach Doc Rivers Dig-Deep to Bolster Frontcourt with Signing Another Veteran Star …

The Milwaukee Bucks have added depth to their frontcourt by signing Ibou Badji, a former Portland Trail Blazers player known for his size and shot-blocking ability.

According to a report by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Bucks have reached an agreement with Badji, although the specific terms of the contract have not been disclosed. Badji, who stands at 7-foot-1, appeared in 22 games for the Blazers last season, where he averaged 1.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in just over 10 minutes per game. He also shot an impressive 63.6% from the field.

At just 22 years old, the Senegalese center has room to grow and could make an impact during training camp with the Bucks. While Scotto did not specify the exact nature of the deal, it is likely an Exhibit 10 contract. This would provide Badji with the opportunity to earn $77.5K if released, as long as he spends at least 60 days with Milwaukee’s G League affiliate.

Milwaukee’s frontcourt remains solid with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez leading the charge, while Bobby Portis and newly signed Anzejs Pasecniks also add depth to the team. The addition of Badji provides the Bucks with another defensive option as they prepare for the upcoming season.
