Breaking News: Vancouver Canucks Officially Lands  Another Veteran Superstar in a Blockbuster Deal…

The Vancouver Canucks have made a notable move by signing 25-year-old goaltender Dylan Ferguson to a professional tryout contract. Ferguson spent the 2023-24 season with Minsk Dynamo in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), where he posted a 9-9-0 record with a .904 save percentage and a 2.51 goals-against-average over 23 games.

Ferguson was originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft but was traded just two days later to the Vegas Golden Knights as part of a deal for defenseman Marc Methot. He made a brief emergency appearance for the Golden Knights during the 2017-18 season, playing nine minutes and allowing one goal on two shots.

Throughout his career, Ferguson has moved between leagues, including stints in the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL. One of his standout moments came in the 2020-21 season when he helped the Fort Wayne Komets win the Kelly Cup after a strong playoff run in the ECHL.

In the 2022-23 season, Ferguson played 13 games in the AHL between the Belleville Senators and Toronto Marlies, achieving an impressive 8-3-0 record. He also made two starts with the Ottawa Senators, earning a 1-1-0 record, with a .940 save percentage and a 2.52 goals-against-average.

The Canucks, fresh off a successful 2023-24 campaign with a 50-23-9 record and a Pacific Division title, are aiming to strengthen their roster with the addition of Ferguson. Despite their regular-season success, they fell short in the playoffs, losing in seven games to the Edmonton Oilers in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. With this new signing, the Canucks hope to build on their achievements and make a deeper postseason run.
