King Poised to Fill Okudah’s Shoes as Texans Prepare for Week 2 Showdown

King could be a strong candidate to fill the void left by Okudah. Throughout his career, he has recorded 473 tackles, nine interceptions, seven fumble recoveries, and forced three fumbles. Additionally, he has defended 35 passes, logged 9.5 sacks, and scored five total touchdowns.

Even though King didn’t make the roster this year, his productivity remains undeniable. Last season, he re-signed with the Texans for seven games after a brief stint with the Pittsburgh Steelers. During that time, he made 47 tackles, grabbed an interception, and defended two passes across three starts.

As the Texans gear up for their Week 2 matchup against the Chicago Bears, they’ll face rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. While the offense, led by rising star C.J. Stroud, looks poised to perform well, the defense will need to step up to support them.

Houston controlled the time of possession in Week 1 but allowed several big plays on defense.
