These viral-worthy celebrations may be entertaining for Curry and Warriors fans, but they’re less enjoyable for the opposition. Former NBA point guard Ty Lawson recently shared his experience defending Curry on the “Raw Room” podcast.

“Steph Curry was tough,” Lawson admitted. “When he heats up, he gets disrespectful with it. He started doing the shimmy, and that really pissed me off at first. Then he started turning around. He was in the corner, turned around before the shot even went in, and I’m just standing there, watching the ball and looking at him. Then he says, ‘Boom!’ Splash. I was like, ‘Yo, Steph, you different, bro.'”

The hosts of the “Raw Room” podcast, former NFL players Daren Bates, Jalen Collins, and King Dunlap, watched clips of Curry’s dominance over Lawson and the Denver Nuggets, marveling at Curry’s incredible skills.

Curry has become known for a variety of unique celebrations, from his golf-swinging mimicry to quirky dance moves and his signature “night night” gesture after hitting clutch shots.
