Bruins Soaring High: Bruins To Dominate National TV Schedule This..

The Boston Bruins, one of the NHL’s premier teams, continue to be a top draw for national audiences. As a result, they will be prominently featured in 14 nationally televised games this upcoming season, as announced by the league on Thursday. This puts them tied for the third-most national broadcasts among all teams.

The Bruins will make their first national appearance on October 8, when they face the Florida Panthers as part of the NHL’s Opening Night triple-header on ABC. Shortly after, their matchup against the Colorado Avalanche on October 16 will be broadcast on TNT.

Many of the Bruins’ nationally televised games will take place on Saturday afternoons, with six of these games scheduled after the new year. Notable matchups include games against the Florida Panthers (January 11), New York Rangers (February 1), Vegas Golden Knights (February 8), Pittsburgh Penguins (March 1), Tampa Bay Lightning (March 8), and Detroit Red Wings (March 29).

All other Bruins games will air locally on NESN, with Judd Sirott making his debut as the new play-by-play announcer this season.

The league’s announcement also included updated start times for several Bruins games. When Boston visits the Nashville Predators on October 22, the game will start at 8:45 p.m. EST on NESN. The Black Friday game against the Pittsburgh Penguins is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. EST on TNT, and their game against the New Jersey Devils on January 22 will now start at 7 p.m. EST on NESN.
