Yankees Victory: Judge’s 49th Homer Propels Yankees Past Rockies

New York, NY – Aaron Judge continued his historic home run pace on Friday night, launching his MLB-leading 49th long ball of the season to propel the New York Yankees to a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies.

Judge’s towering blast, his fourth consecutive home run, came in the sixth inning off Rockies starter Kyle Freeland. The Yankees slugger now sits just one home run away from joining an elite group of players with three 50-home run seasons in their careers.

Judge’s dominance at the plate has been nothing short of remarkable. Since May 2, he has slashed an incredible .381 with 43 home runs and 101 RBIs in just 94 games. His OPS of 1.192 ranks among the highest in baseball since World War II.

The Yankees’ offense received additional contributions from Giancarlo Stanton, who opened the scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning. The duo of Judge and Stanton has been a formidable force for New York, combining for 42 wins in games where they both homer.

On the mound, Carlos Rodón continued his stellar season, striking out five in six innings of four-hit ball. The Yankees’ pitching staff has been lights out in recent games, combining for 19 consecutive scoreless innings.

The Rockies, meanwhile, struggled to generate offense against the Yankees’ pitching staff. Despite a solid outing from Kyle Freeland, the team’s inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities proved to be their downfall.

With Judge’s historic home run pace and the Yankees’ strong pitching, the team is well-positioned for a deep playoff run.
