Official Update: Cam Thomas On His Breakout Season And Future Goals…

Nets shooting guard Cam Thomas is gearing up for another impressive season after a standout performance in 2023-24. With the departure of Mikal Bridges to the Knicks, Thomas is poised to take on a more prominent role for Brooklyn.

In a recent interview with Curtis Rowser III of SLAM, Thomas discussed his offseason training regimen and aspirations for the upcoming season. He emphasized his desire to continue improving his all-around game, particularly his catch-and-shoot ability and finishing around the basket.

Last year, Thomas averaged 22.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 0.7 steals per game. His impressive performance earned him a seventh-place finish in the Most Improved Player voting.

Looking ahead, Thomas has set a goal of averaging 25 points per game and becoming a more versatile playmaker. He expressed confidence in his ability to lead the Nets’ offense, drawing on his experiences from high school and college.

Thomas also addressed the criticism and doubt he has faced throughout his career. He remains motivated by these challenges, using them as fuel to prove himself. While he acknowledges the possibility of future accolades like All-Star or All-NBA honors, Thomas’ primary focus is on improving his game and helping the Nets succeed.
