News Update: ;White Sox’s Head Coach Grady Sizemore Unravels Restructuring Strategies…

As we approach the final stretch of the MLB season, all 30 teams will soon have the opportunity to expand their rosters in September. This allows them to bring in reinforcements for the last month of regular-season play. Whether a team is in the thick of the playoff race or focusing on development for next year, each organization can add two players to their roster.

American League East

Blue Jays: Jake Bloss, RHP (No. 3 Prospect)
Jake Bloss, who joined the Blue Jays as part of the Yusei Kikuchi trade, previously made three Major League starts with the Astros, primarily due to injuries. Toronto has taken a cautious approach with Bloss, initially sending him to their pitching lab in Dunedin, Florida, before assigning him to Triple-A Buffalo. Bloss’ fastball-curve-slider combination is nearly refined, and he could see some Major League action in September as Toronto assesses his potential for the 2025 rotation.

Orioles: Coby Mayo, 3B/1B (No. 2 Prospect/MLB No. 10)
Coby Mayo’s first stint in the big leagues didn’t go as planned, as he went 1-for-17 with 10 strikeouts. However, at just 22 years old, Mayo is likely to bounce back from this rough start. The Orioles could give him another shot at third base, first base, or even as a designated hitter, to provide some extra offensive power as they push for the playoffs.

Rays: Joe Rock, LHP (No. 23 Prospect)
Though Tampa Bay isn’t as competitive in the postseason race this year, they could still benefit from the addition of Joe Rock, who has spent the entire season with Triple-A Durham. Rock, who was acquired from the Rockies in March, has a 4.64 ERA with 102 strikeouts over 110⅔ innings. His unique low-slot delivery could be a useful tool out of the bullpen for the Rays down the stretch.

Red Sox: Chase Meidroth, INF (No. 11 Prospect)
While Boston recently promoted several top prospects to Triple-A, Chase Meidroth has been with the team all season, posting a .294/.445/.395 slash line with 12 steals in 101 games. The 2022 fourth-round pick from San Diego excels at getting on base and could provide stability at second base, a position that has been a revolving door for the Red Sox as they continue to fight for a playoff spot.

Yankees: Jasson Domínguez, OF (No. 1 Prospect/MLB No. 17)
Jasson Domínguez, the Yankees’ top prospect, made a splash in his MLB debut last September by homering off Justin Verlander and hitting three more home runs in his next seven games. Unfortunately, a torn UCL required Tommy John surgery, sidelining him for a significant portion of the season. Now healthy, Domínguez is hitting .314/.378/.487 with seven home runs and 10 stolen bases across three levels. He could provide an upgrade over Alex Verdugo in the outfield as the Yankees look to finish the season strong.
