Curry’s stunning play in Team USA’s dramatic 98-97 victory over France, securing the gold medal, was so remarkable that it immediately raised eyebrows, prompting a drug test for the Warriors’ star.
At Fanatics Fest, Durant and Edwards shared their unusual experience on the “Boardroom,” recounting how they, along with Curry, were subjected to drug tests right after the victory, disrupting their post-game celebration.
“Right after we won the gold medal, Durant and I had to take a drug test,” Edwards explained. “It was kind of hard to celebrate in the locker room because me, him, and Steph were all being tested.”
Curry’s clutch performance, including four 3-pointers in the final three minutes, was instrumental in securing Team USA’s gold and cementing his legacy in Olympic history.
