It remains unclear what Sizemore would need to achieve in the remaining 37 games to secure the permanent role. Nevertheless, he has already earned positive feedback from those within the clubhouse. Doug Sisson, a former White Sox minor league coach who was named interim bench coach alongside Sizemore, praised his colleague’s leadership and baseball acumen. Sisson, who has nearly 20 years of coaching experience, highlighted the connection he and Sizemore developed during Spring Training.

“I was immediately impressed with him,” Sisson told NBC Sports Chicago. “He commands respect right away because he’s a genuine guy who knows what good baseball looks like and how to get players to perform at their best. I think his potential is as high as anyone in this game.”

Should Sizemore be offered the full-time managerial role, he could be facing a significantly different roster in 2025. While the White Sox chose not to trade key players Garrett Crochet and Luis Robert Jr. at this year’s deadline, Nightengale reports that both players may be on the move before next season.
