Sad Update: An Unfortunate Event Takes Place Putting Pens Fans In A Frown…

A few days after being traded from the Nashville Predators to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Cody Glass had a perfect response to an online critic.

Predators’ general manager, Barry Trotz, was looking to move Glass’ contract and struck a deal with Kyle Dubas. In the trade, the Penguins acquired the 25-year-old forward with a $2.5M contract, along with a 2025 3rd round pick and a 2026 6th round pick, in exchange for Jordan Frasca.

Glass, who was selected 6th overall in the 2017 NHL Draft by the Vegas Golden Knights as the franchise’s first-ever draft pick, has struggled to meet expectations. He joined the Nashville Predators in 2021, and over 187 NHL games, he has recorded 29 goals and 42 assists. Despite playing in three playoff games, he did not register any points.

This led to some Penguins fans expressing their displeasure on social media, with one even calling him a “scrub.” Glass noticed the comment and responded in the best possible way.

Next season, both Glass and Kyle Dubas will likely face intense scrutiny from Penguins fans, as Dubas continues to make surprising and sometimes controversial moves.
