Yankees Official Update: Aaron Boone Announce The Dispatch Of A 26 Year Old Jazz Chisholm Jr. Due To …

New York, NY – A significant blow has hit the New York Yankees as star third baseman, Jazz Chisholm Jr., is likely headed to the injured list. The 26-year-old sustained a left elbow injury during Monday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.

Manager Aaron Boone announced Tuesday that Chisholm has a probable ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) injury and the team is awaiting further medical evaluation. A final decision on whether to place him on the IL is expected by Wednesday.

Chisholm injured his elbow while sliding into home plate during the fifth inning. Despite playing through the pain, he was removed from the game in the seventh. While he expressed optimism about the injury post-game, the Yankees are taking precautions.

Since being acquired from the Miami Marlins in July, Chisholm has been a standout performer for the Yankees, batting .316 with five home runs and 13 runs scored. His absence will undoubtedly impact the team’s lineup.

Oswaldo Cabrera is expected to fill in at third base, with DJ LeMahieu also a potential option.

The Yankees will provide updates on Chisholm’s condition as more information becomes available.
