Sad News: Jordi Fernández Confirms The Departure Of A Sensational 28 Year Old Star To… What A Lose!!!

Brooklyn, NY – The Brooklyn Nets are reportedly open to trading forward Cam Johnson, according to league sources. The 28-year-old, who was acquired in the Kevin Durant trade last season, has seen his name circulate in trade rumors as the Nets enter a rebuilding phase.

“You don’t get the sense they’re knocking down doors to move him,” one NBA executive told Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports. “I think they’ll get to that point, either in the next few weeks or before the (trade) deadline. He does a lot of good things for you, he can shoot, pretty good defender, good guy to have in the locker room. The contract is not bad, either. So, there will be a market for him if they get that ball rolling.”

Johnson averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game last season for the Nets. He is known for his three-point shooting and defensive versatility.

The Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams interested in acquiring Johnson. The executive added, “He is the kind of guy they’re looking for… I don’t think they really want to make any moves but the only moves they would make would be to bring in some shooting, especially if it’s a big guy who can shoot. And he’s a big guy who can shoot.”

Johnson signed a four-year, $94.5 million contract with the Nets last summer.

It remains to be seen if the Nets will find a suitable trade package for Johnson before the start of the season.
