Breaking News: J.J. MCCARTHY Rushed To The Hospital In An Emergency Van As He Was Involved In A Ghastly Accident; Kevin O’Connell Facing A…

Minnesota Vikings rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy will miss practice today after experiencing right knee soreness following Saturday’s preseason win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

Head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed the news, emphasizing that the injury is likely a common post-game issue for players re-adjusting to football. Despite playing a full 30 snaps and showing no signs of discomfort during the game, the team is taking a cautious approach.

“We’re going to continue an evaluation on him and get some more testing done,” O’Connell stated. “He’s a very important player, so we want to make sure we’re smart before he participates.”

McCarthy’s availability for the team’s upcoming trip to Cleveland for joint practices with the Browns is uncertain. The rookie was set to see increased first-team reps this week, but his absence will provide more opportunities for veteran quarterback Sam Darnold.
