Sad News: Steve Kerr Confirms The Dispatch Of A 27 Year Old Star; Warriors Lament Over The…

Golden State could have potentially dominated the NBA for years to come had Kevin Durant stayed with the team, according to his mother, Wanda Pratt, and Steph Curry’s mother, Sonya Curry.

The two women opened up about their feelings on Durant’s decision to leave the Warriors in a recent episode of TV One’s “Raising Fame.”

Sonya admitted to being upset with her son’s former teammate for leaving Golden State. “I was kind of mad at him when he left at first,” she confessed to Wanda.

Wanda echoed Sonya’s sentiments, expressing her belief that the Warriors would have achieved even greater success had Durant remained with the team. “I didn’t really want him to go either … man we would have had 20 rings by now,” Wanda said. “We would have had 20 rings by now and it was about [eight] years ago, that’s how cold they were.”

The Warriors won two championships with Durant in 2017 and 2018. However, after he departed for the Brooklyn Nets in 2019, the team faced a challenging period, missing the playoffs in the following two seasons. They eventually reclaimed their NBA throne in 2022, capturing their fourth championship in eight years.

The comments from the two mothers offer a unique perspective on Durant’s departure and highlight the potential dynasty that could have been.
