Duke fans have reason to be excited as five-star power forward Koa Peat is reportedly set to visit the Blue Devils this fall. According to 247Sports’ Brandon Jenkins, Peat, the nation’s No. 5 recruit in the 2025 class, has confirmed visits to Arkansas, Baylor, and Arizona. He’ll now add a trip to Durham on September 20th to his busy recruiting schedule.

Peat recently helped the U-17 national team win gold at the FIBA U17 World Cup and impressed on the Adidas 3SSB summer circuit. With the college season approaching, the 6-foot-8, 235-pound forward is looking to narrow down his choices.

Elite 24 Standouts:

  • Nate Ament (No. 7, 2025): Despite missing the first day, Ament made his presence felt at the Under Armour Elite 24 scrimmage. The 6-foot-9 forward showcased his shooting, ball handling, and smooth movement. He has visits scheduled to Kentucky and Virginia and is expected to take his time with the recruiting process.

  • Acaden Lewis (No. 31, 2025): Fresh off visits to Duke and Syracuse, Lewis displayed his well-rounded skillset. He can run the point, play off the ball, and score efficiently. His polished game suggests a bright future at the college level.

  • Malachi Moreno (No. 25, 2025): Moreno hustled on both ends of the court, showing his ability to score, rebound, and defend. While needing to add strength, he complements Lewis and Ament well.

Other Notable Performers:

  • Shon Abaev (No. 44, 2025): A strong case for a ranking bump, Abaev displayed his scoring prowess with a combination of size, strength, and shooting.

  • Eli Ellis (No. 55, 2025, Committed to South Carolina): Ellis started slow but found his rhythm with some clutch shots.

  • Dylan Mingo (No. 22, 2026): This rising junior impressed with his defensive instincts, length, and ability to get to the rim.

  • Mazi Mosley (No. 48, 2025): Mosley’s scoring and playmaking skills were on display, showcasing his quickness and ball handling.

  • Christopher Washington Jr. (No. 28, 2026): The athletic Washington showed off his potential with highlight dunks, a three-pointer, and a block.
