Breaking News: Heralded Prep Applauds Jon Scheyer After Watching…

Durham, NC – Sidwell Friends School standout Acaden Lewis, a highly-rated point guard in the class of 2025, recently wrapped up an unofficial visit to Duke University and came away thoroughly impressed. The four-star prospect, who ranks No. 46 overall in the nation, expressed his enthusiasm for the program and its potential fit for his playing style.

Lewis, known for his dynamic playmaking and scoring ability, had the opportunity to observe the Blue Devils in practice. He was particularly impressed by the team’s pace and the coaching staff’s engagement. “The coaches were amazing,” Lewis told Zagsblog. “The team looked great in practice, and the practice had good pace.”

The Duke coaching staff, led by Jon Scheyer, extended a scholarship offer to Lewis earlier this summer. During his visit, they outlined a potential path for the young guard. “They said I can come in and play from Day 1,” Lewis revealed. With the possibility of current guards Caleb Foster and Tyrese Proctor declaring for the NBA draft, the Blue Devils could have an opening in the backcourt.

Lewis has narrowed down his college choices to Duke, Kentucky, UConn, Syracuse, North Carolina, Auburn, Michigan, and Tennessee. He plans to make a decision before the November signing period.

The talented guard has already visited Kentucky, UConn, Syracuse, and North Carolina this summer. His trip to Duke marked a significant step in his recruitment process as he evaluates his options.
