Rafael Nadal has issued a stern warning to Jannik Sinner regarding his absence from the Paris Olympics. In an interview with El Partidazo on Cadena Cope, Nadal shared his thoughts on the upcoming Games, expressing excitement despite recent challenges. He noted that he was disappointed with his recent performance but remains determined to give his best effort and is hopeful for an elevated level of play when representing Spain.

Nadal also addressed Sinner’s absence, expressing regret and noting his strong relationship with the young Italian. He acknowledged Sinner’s impressive season and suggested that the absence of key players, including Sinner, will make the competition more challenging. Nadal compared this moment to his own experience with the disappointment of missing out on London 2012 and expressed a desire for Sinner to have been part of the competition.

In addition to his singles play, Nadal will team up with Carlos Alcaraz for the doubles event. Nadal praised Alcaraz as the top player and highlighted his own experience, noting that while he brings tactical skills, Alcaraz excels in handling high-pressure situations on the court.
