Breaking News: Yankees Finally Reach aN Agreement with Colorado Rockies Over Talented Star Infielder …

The Colorado Rockies’ star third baseman, Ryan McMahon, was the team’s sole All-Star this season. Despite the Rockies’ dismal 34-63 record at the break, McMahon’s impressive performance, batting .272 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs, makes him a prime trade target for other MLB teams. Additionally, McMahon’s exceptional defensive skills position him as a potential Gold Glove winner this season.

However, McMahon isn’t looking to leave Denver. In a recent interview with the New York Post during the All-Star Game in Texas, McMahon expressed his desire to stay with the Rockies. He recounted how he approached GM Bill Schmidt before a batting practice session to discuss his future with the team.

“We had a good talk, talked about it, and we came to the conclusion that I’m going to stay a Rockie,” McMahon told the Post.

McMahon mentioned the impact a trade would have on his family, including his wife and young daughter, who would have to relocate.

The New York Yankees have shown interest in McMahon as a potential infield upgrade for DJ LeMahieu, who has struggled this season, hitting just .188 in 37 games. LeMahieu, a former Rockies player, was a key contributor to their playoff teams in 2017 and 2018.

Despite the Rockies’ bleak prospects for this season, McMahon’s loyalty to Colorado is commendable. Having spent all eight years of his MLB career with the Rockies, he seems content to remain in Denver for now.

While the future might bring different considerations as McMahon’s career progresses, it appears that GM Bill Schmidt is inclined to honor his request to stay with the team.
