SAD NEWS!!! One Of Twins Best Is On The Line As He Will Be Unable To Play…

Fans of the Minnesota Twins hoping to see shortstop Carlos Correa in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday night will be let down. Correa will miss the event due to a right heel injury diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. He sat out the last two games before the All-Star break because of this injury. This season, Correa has earned his third All-Star selection, his first with the Twins, boasting a .308 batting average, 13 home runs, 17 doubles, and 41 RBIs in 75 games.

Last year, Correa played much of the regular season with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Despite his absence, the Twins will still have representation at the All-Star Game with utility infielder Willi Castro, who will be attending his first All-Star Game, replacing Jose Altuve.

The Twins hold a 54-42 record at the All-Star break, standing 4.5 games behind the Cleveland Guardians for the top spot in the American League Central Division. They currently hold the No. 2 Wild Card spot. Following the break, the Twins will begin a five-game homestand, starting with two games against the Milwaukee Brewers at Target Field.
