REPORT: Another Star Key Player to Join Sinner to Test Each Other in Practice…

Djokovic and Sinner to Train Together Ahead of Wimbledon

Two of the top contenders for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, will practice together the day before the tournament draw.

Djokovic and Sinner, both strong favorites alongside defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, will face each other on the practice court more than two weeks before a potential final showdown. If they meet in the tournament, it will only be in the final.

Despite undergoing recent knee surgery, Djokovic’s participation in Wimbledon seems increasingly likely. He has been intensifying his practice sessions and recently defeated Federico Coria and Frances Tiafoe. The 37-year-old is set to play a practice match against Sinner, the current world number one.

As reported by the Italian publication Gazzetta, Djokovic and Sinner have scheduled an hour-long practice session on Thursday to test each other’s skills ahead of the season’s third major tournament.

While Djokovic will be entering the match with only two practice games, Sinner is in a better position, having recently won his first tournament as the world number one by defeating Hubert Hurkacz in the final of the 2024 Halle Open.

Djokovic’s advantage lies in his seven Wimbledon titles, the second-most in the tournament’s history among men. Sinner, who lost in the first round on his debut in 2021, has shown significant improvement by reaching the quarter-finals in 2022 and the semi-finals last year, where he was defeated by Djokovic on both occasions.
