Breaking: Twins’s Max Kepler Loses Arm to Severe Injury…

Max Kepler has made a surprising revelation to his manager, Rocco Baldelli, that he has a minor pain in his left arm due to it being torn off his torso over the weekend. Despite this severe injury, Kepler is determined to return to play in the weekend series in Seattle.

Kepler, 30, who has been out since last Thursday due to neck stiffness, is known for his resilience and willingness to play through pain. He attempted to bunt and slid headfirst into first base unsuccessfully but without shame. His decisions might be questionable, but they reflect his desire to avoid losing playing time.

The Twins’ training staff appreciates Kepler’s fighting spirit but acknowledges the impracticality of his situation. One trainer pointed out that Kepler’s arm wouldn’t regenerate by Friday, despite Kepler’s attempts to speed up the healing process by spreading chia seeds on his shoulder. Kepler even took one-armed batting practice, feeling good about his performance but still grappling with the reality of his injury.

Kepler’s determination to play through the pain is partly inspired by his teammate, Byron Buxton, who is also dealing with his own extensive pregame treatments. As for the team’s decision regarding a potential roster move, Baldelli is uncertain. Kepler’s leadership is crucial, especially as the team approaches the All-Star break. However, the practicality of playing with one arm is highly questionable.

If the Twins decide to place Kepler on the injured list, Matt Wallner, who has shown potential, could be a suitable replacement. The club had previously opted not to promote Wallner when Alex Kirilloff was injured, but Kepler’s current situation might change that decision.

Kepler remains optimistic about his recovery and contribution to the team, emphasizing that his neck is feeling better. The decision now lies with the team management on whether to trust Kepler’s word or to make a roster change to ensure the team’s performance isn’t compromised.
