JUST IN: An NBA Insider Reveals a Stunning Trade Proposal Miami Heat Has Made To Acquire a Top Player This Offseason…

An NBA analyst has suggested a trade proposal that would see the Miami Heat acquiring Collin Sexton from the Utah Jazz.

Zach Buckley from Bleacher Report proposed the following trade scenario:

Trade Proposal: The Utah Jazz would send Collin Sexton to the Miami Heat in exchange for Duncan Robinson, the 15th overall pick, and a 2026 second-round pick (via the Los Angeles Lakers).

In the 2023-24 season, Sexton averaged 18.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.9 assists, with shooting percentages of 48.7% from the field, 39.4% from three-point range, and 85.9% from the free-throw line. He is set to earn $18.4 million next season.

“Nevertheless, Sexton could attract significant attention in Miami, where the Heat need more perimeter scoring and dynamic playmaking,” Buckley wrote. “His relentless energy would seamlessly fit into the Heat’s culture, providing the bench with a scoring lift following Tyler Herro’s move to the starting lineup.”

NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype mentioned that the Jazz might consider trading Sexton and Jordan Clarkson this offseason. Utah finished the 2023-24 season with a 31-51 record, missing the playoffs for the second consecutive year.

“There is a belief among rival executives, who spoke with HoopsHype, that Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson could be available on the trade market,” Scotto wrote.

Sexton has career averages of 18.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Jazz.

The Miami Heat were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the 2024 playoffs in five games, with All-Star Jimmy Butler missing the series due to a knee injury.

Butler is eligible for a contract extension this offseason and is expected to seek a two-year deal worth around $113 million, according to Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald. Butler will earn $48.8 million next season and has a player option for $52.4 million in the 2025-26 season.

A six-time All-Star, Butler averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.3 blocks in the 2023-24 season, with shooting percentages of 49.9% from the field, 41.4% from three-point range, and 85.8% from the free-throw line.
