Despite these highs, Butler’s era in Miami might be nearing its end. He is seeking an extension from the Heat, but the team might hesitate to offer it. If the Heat decides not to extend Butler, they might consider rebuilding with younger talent through potential trades. The Heat could use the draft picks from the 76ers, along with their own young talent, to acquire a significant player to pair with Bam Adebayo. Paul Reed, while not the centerpiece of the trade, could thrive in Miami. Known for his energy and rebounding ability, Reed ranked in the 88th percentile for offensive rebounds according to Cleaning The Glass. On a short-term deal, he could be a valuable asset, potentially outperforming former Heat player Dewayne Dedmon.
