Breaking News: Milwaukee Buck Intensifies Pursuit of 23rd Pick Miami Hurricanes Forward for 2024 NBA Draft…

Milwaukee Bucks: Considering Miami Hurricanes Forward for the 2024 NBA Draft

With the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks are eyeing a prospect from the Miami Hurricanes. Additionally, Milwaukee holds the 33rd pick in the second round.

General manager Jon Horst has a plethora of options with these picks, and it would be prudent to retain them. The Bucks have several impending free agents and likely won’t retain most of them, emphasizing the need to infuse young talent around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. Draft day trades or future deals could also be in play.

SB Nation Predicts Bucks to Select Miami’s Kyshawn George with 23rd Pick

Ricky O’Donnell of SB Nation recently updated his NBA Mock Draft, projecting the Bucks to choose Miami Hurricanes forward Kyshawn George with the 23rd pick.

O’Donnell noted:

“George stands 6’7″ without shoes, with a 6’10.5″ wingspan, and shot 40.8% from three-point range as a freshman at Miami. He has potential on defense and is self-aware as a player: 68.4% of his shots were from beyond the arc. Milwaukee might prefer a more ‘NBA ready’ player, but this is a reasonable range for George and a good fit.”

Last season, George played 31 games for the Hurricanes, averaging 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.4 blocks, and 0.9 steals per game. Despite playing only one college season, which makes him a risky pick, he could be a significant addition if he develops further. While the Bucks might need a more polished player at 23rd, George’s potential is intriguing. He could be drafted as high as 15th by the Miami Heat, though that would be a bold move. For the Bucks, selecting George would be a substantial gamble in the 2024 NBA Draft.
