“Not to Disappoint”: Novak Djokovic’s Wife Reveals Loss of Privacy Amid Scrutiny for Her Appearance…

Jelena Djokovic, wife of Serbia’s legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic, has shared her feelings about losing her private life. Married to the former world number one since 2014, Jelena and Novak have two children: a son, Stefan, and a daughter, Tara.

In a recent interview, Jelena discussed the scrutiny she faces due to her association with Djokovic. She mentioned being criticized for not wearing makeup or heels, but she has found a way to cope with such comments.

“We often think public figures should be okay with the attention,” Jelena said. “But over time, you start to miss anonymity and the freedom to do what you want, however you want. I try to stay true to myself and Novak. Sometimes that means I get criticized for not wearing makeup or heels, but I choose to prioritize my own sense of self over public expectations.”

Novak Djokovic is widely regarded as the greatest men’s singles tennis player in the Open era, with 24 Grand Slam titles. However, 2024 has been a challenging season for him. He has yet to reach a final and is currently sidelined following knee surgery.

Djokovic injured his knee during the French Open, forcing him to withdraw just before the quarterfinal against Norway’s Casper Ruud. It remains uncertain whether he will be able to participate in the upcoming Wimbledon or the Paris Olympics.
