The Minnesota Vikings made significant strides in securing their roster for the upcoming NFL season with a flurry of signings from their 2024 draft picks and undrafted free agents.
On May 10, the Vikings finalized contracts with three of their seven draft selections. These signings included kicker Will Reichard, offensive lineman Michael Jurgens, and defensive lineman Levi Drake Rodriguez. Alongside these additions, Minnesota also secured agreements with all 17 undrafted free agents who had committed to join the team after the draft, demonstrating a proactive approach to bolstering their squad with promising talent.
As the month progressed, updates continued to roll in regarding the team’s rookie signings. By May 28, fourth-round pick Khyree Jackson had put pen to paper on his rookie contract, marking another step towards integrating their draft class into the fold. Earlier, on May 14, sixth-round selection Walter Rouse had also formalized his rookie deal, ensuring a steady progression in assembling the team’s new recruits.
However, some notable names from their draft class are yet to finalize their contracts. J.J. McCarthy, drafted as the highest-ever quarterback pick in Vikings history at No. 10 overall, and Dallas Turner, selected at No. 17 in the first round, are among those who have not yet reached terms with the team.
